Investment Services
The Foundation manages nearly $60 million in investments on behalf of churches, agencies and institutions within the North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church. All investments are kept under the watchful eyes of the Foundation's investment committee, competent staff and RidgeWorth Capital Management, the institutional investment arm of SunTrust Banks, Inc.
Investors may choose from the following Investment Funds designed to meet a variety of financial objectives:
• The Money Market Fund invests in short-term debt securities such as Treasury bills, certificates of deposit, and commercial paper. This fund offers competitive returns, low investment risk, and immediate liquidity.
• The Fixed Income Fund consists of five different bond mutual funds including the Total Return Bond Fund, Intermediate Bond Fund, Short-Term Bond Fund, SEIX High Yield Bond Fund, and PIMCO Global Bond Fund. This fund offers lower risk because of its diversification.
• The Equity Fund consists of 18 to 20 mutual funds that provide a high level of diversification and exposure to large cap growth and value funds along with mid cap, small cap, international, and alternative (real estate) funds. This fund, which is designed for long-term growth, offers higher returns and greater investment risk.
• The Development Fund invests in loans to United Methodist churches and agencies to support the construction of new buildings, renovation of existing facilities, acquisition of property, and reduction of debt. This fund, which offers above-average returns when compared with certificates of deposit, is also available to individual investors.
